Kitchens with character
Kitchens really are the heart of the home and a space to be proud of. Here at SOAP we can join you on the journey to build the perfect solution for your family to enjoy for years to come. Working with you and to your budget we can provide a full design and build service if you are starting from scratch, or we can give your kitchen a face-lift with new doors and surfaces if your existing cabinetry still has plenty of life left. We can make doors to fit popular cabinets from IKEA, B&Q, Howdens etc so that they fit the existing hinge locations perfectly.
Working with us..
We provide our full kitchen design, build and install services mainly within Cornwall where we are based however if you plan on fitting yourself we can arrange delivery of cabinets and/or doors throughout the UK.
The first thing you need to do is give us call on 01726 337080 / 07446 262 364 or email us at info@sumofallparts.co.uk
We can then arrange a convenient time to pop over for an initial chat about what you want and how we can help you get there. On this visit we will take lots of measurements, show you the materials we work with and answer any questions you have regarding the process.
Within a week after the initial visit we will provide some simple visuals of the space along with a few quotations based on different materials.
If you are then happy with the proposals and quote we can get it all booked in to the SOAP diary with a 50% deposit.

The Cabinets.
This will depend on your budget. Great savings can be achieved by using off the shelf cabinets from the popular retailers such as IKEA, B&Q, Howdens etc. But if you are after something special, tougher and more durable allow us to create the cabinets of your dreams using the best materials. We use FSC registered Melamine coated Birch Plywood as the main core material for our cabinets. Finishes can also include an array of top veneers such as Oak, Walnut or Ash and then finished with a hard wax oil. Melamine coated Birch Ply is fantastic and possibly the best material that can be used for kitchen cabinets, it's durability and strength will last a lifetime. The plywood we use all comes from FSC registered forests.

Doors
This is where you can add a real splash of identity to your kitchen. Whether you are planning a kitchen face lift or as part of the whole design we create with you, the doors you choose are integral to the look you want to achieve. All our doors are constructed with an 18mm FSC registered Birch plywood core. What goes on the face of this is up to you! Real wood veneers in Oak, Walnut or Ash. High pressure laminates by Formica and Egger offer a really extensive range of colours, textures and material looks. Visit their websites below for a closer look at the choices.
Handles are another great way to add the character to your kitchen. A simple cut out, or a cut out with an inset colour, there's many possibilities for plywood doors. Perhaps you've seen a detail on Pinterest, if so let us have a look and we can let you know if it's possible.
The exposed edges of the plywood doors are beautiful and we help preserve them with a couple of coats of hard wax oil once they've been given a good sanding.
Worktops.
Laminated plywood worktops have great durability and it's only the exposed edges that will benefit from a little maintenance every few years. We use laminates mainly from the Formica and Egger brands. If you have something else in mind for the worktops just let us know as the choices here are not confined to plywood.
Fittings and Hardware.
We tend to use Blum as our favoured system for drawers and hinges. They are world leaders in this field and we firmly believe they have the very best systems for kitchen cabinets. Other systems are of course available and depending on your budget we can work with you to help choose the best solution.
